Nous aimons les Congolese!

In his book titled "The Holy Spirit", Robert Millet made the following observation: "When shy, perhaps rather backward and thoroughly inexperienced....men and women are called to serve as full-time missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints....It seems that on every street corner they greet busy people, people about whom they know little or nothing, and yet, in a strange but wonderful way, they are overcome with love for these people."

This is exactly how Suzanne and I feel being among these people - we love them even though we don't know them, can hardly communicate with them, nor they with us. We have been somewhat taken aback with these unexpected feelings and how strong they are.

Pictured are Shritunne, Magali, Ejoycez, and Almace (at least I think I got their names close to being right). They are fun, energetic, and as you can see, very friendly! Being around them, while it makes us miss our own grandchildren, it brings us great joy and happiness to be able to associate with them and to feel so accepted. We both look forward to the time that we can better communicate with them in their native language.

C'est un grand jour d'etre un missionnaire!
